The kitchen, both bathrooms, and two of the rooms have been fully remodeled. It’s a shared home, not a facility. A place where people look out for each other. The neighborhood is walkable, with public transportation close by, so getting to work, appointments, and the store doesn’t depend on owning a car.

A remodeled kitchen that people actually use
The kitchen has been fully remodeled, and it is the center of the house. Residents cook their own meals here, keep their own groceries, and eat when it suits their schedule. There is no serving window and no set dinner hour.
A working kitchen changes the math on living costs. Cooking at home is far cheaper than eating out, and for someone stretching a fixed income or a first paycheck, that difference shows up every week.
Remodeled bathrooms
Both bathrooms have been remodeled. Clean fixtures, working plumbing, and enough space to get ready without rushing sound like small things until you have lived somewhere they were not true. In a shared home, a bathroom that works properly is one of the clearest signals that the house is looked after.
Two remodeled bathrooms across the house also means mornings work. People leaving for a shift, an appointment, or an interview are not stacked up behind one door.

There are 4 rooms in the house, and two of them have been fully remodeled. Rooms are shared and already furnished, so nobody arrives needing to buy a bed or find a way to move furniture across town.
Three beds are open now, and more beds can be added as the house grows. If you are asking about availability for a specific date, the fastest answer comes from a phone call.
Because the rooms are shared, the intake call spends time on how someone lives alongside other adults: hours, routines, and what makes a good housemate. Getting that right is what keeps the house calm.
Shared spaces that work like a home
The living room is furnished and used. Cable and streaming are already connected, the WiFi reaches the shared spaces, and the washer and dryer are in the house rather than down the road at a laundromat.
This is a permitted supportive shared home, not a facility. Residents are adults with a home, and the shared spaces are where the house becomes a household: people crossing paths in the kitchen, watching something in the evening, noticing when someone has had a hard day.
The kitchen carries most of that traffic. Residents keep their own groceries and cook on their own schedule, and basic house supplies are stocked so the shared rooms stay in good order without anyone chasing contributions.
A walkable Northeast Dallas neighborhood
The house sits in Northeast Dallas, near Lakewood and White Rock Lake. The neighborhood is walkable, which means errands, a meal, and a bit of fresh air do not require planning a trip.
White Rock Lake is one of the better things about this part of the city. Being able to walk somewhere quiet matters more than people expect, particularly for anyone rebuilding a routine after a period of upheaval.
The exact street address is not published. The area is shared openly and directions go out once a tour is scheduled.
Public transportation close by
Public transportation is nearby, so getting to work, medical appointments, the VA, or the store does not depend on owning a car. For residents without a vehicle, that access is what makes a job or a treatment schedule realistic rather than theoretical.

Who runs the house
Zandria’s house.
Zandria is a veteran who opened The Argo House to do one thing: make decent, affordable housing available to people who have a hard time finding it. Veterans. Seniors. People on a fixed income. People starting over.
The idea is simple. A clean, remodeled home in a good neighborhood, one all-inclusive rate, and neighbors who look out for each other. Zandria owns and runs the house, and our house manager Joyce is who you'll reach when you call.
