Placement agencies help people find housing, often on a tight timeline. When you place someone, you need clear terms, clear costs, and a house that answers the phone. This page sets out The Argo House terms for agencies in plain language.
The Argo House is permitted supportive shared housing in Northeast Dallas, near Lakewood and White Rock Lake. It is permitted through the Dallas Boarding House Department and is veteran-owned. It is housing. It does not provide personal care, supervision, meals, or medical support.
The Two Agency Terms
Placements that come through an agency carry a minimum five-month agreement for the resident. That gives the person time to settle in properly, and it gives the house the stability it needs to keep the rate where it is.
If your agency charges a placement fee of one month's rent, The Argo House pays that fee in two installments rather than in a single payment. For how and when those installments are arranged, please ask on the call.
These are general terms. They are not legal advice, and the agreement itself is completed during the paperwork step before move-in.
The Rate and What It Covers
The rate is $750 per month per bed in a shared room. It includes all utilities, a furnished room, WiFi, washer and dryer use, kitchen access, cable and streaming, and house supplies. A $250 community fee is due at move-in. There are no separate utility accounts for the resident to open for the house.
The full list is on the rent and what is included page.
Current Availability
The house has 4 rooms, with 3 beds open now, and more beds can be added. Availability changes, so please call (469) 503-6007 to confirm before you present the house as an option. Joyce, our house manager, answers the phone.
The Move-In Steps
Agency placements follow the same steps as everyone else. There is no separate track.
- Call or email to begin
- A short intake conversation and background check
- A video or photo walkthrough
- An in-person tour on request
- A reference call
- The $250 community fee, payment setup, and paperwork
- Move-in
Why the Prospective Resident Takes Part in Every Decision
The person you are placing is an adult choosing a home. They should hear about the house from you, see the walkthrough, take part in the intake conversation, and make the decision to move in themselves. Eligibility is confirmed during a short intake call, and that call is with them.
This is a matter of respect first. It also supports the minimum five-month agreement. A person who has chosen the house, knows what to expect, and has had their questions answered is ready to settle in. Share our questions to ask before moving in guide with them before the call.
Before You Call
Have your agency's name, your contact details, and a general sense of timing ready. Please do not send sensitive personal details through the web form. Save them for the phone conversation.
Other referral roles are covered on the referral partners page, and the case managers page has fast facts that also apply to agency work.
